On July 1, 2009, Akram Alimov, the chairman of the steering council of Uzbekistan’s Kamolot youth public movement, Kamoleddin Berdiyev, a department head at the organization’s steering council, Larisa Yun, senior specialist at the training center under the council, Farhad Hajiyev, the head of the Department for Youths at the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Azerbaijan Republic, and Elnur Abdullayev, a representative of the Ministry, visited the "IRELI" Public Union Headquarters.
Attendees discussed plans and projects on cooperation in the area of youth policy. In addition, the visitors made proposals on setting up youth camps jointly with "IRELI". Overall, interaction between the "IRELI" Public Union and Asian youth organizations was discussed at the meeting. The guests pointed out that "IRELI" ’s work structure could be used as a model for their organizations.
Following the meeting, gifts were presented to the guests, while the latter, in turn, presented gifts featuring themes on Uzbekistan to the Public Union. Further, the guests toured the "IRELI" office.
