Protest action was launched in front of the Euronews headquarters in Lyon by our youth

As you know, Euronews channel has produced and recently broadcasted an untruthful and biased documentary on Nagorno Karabakh called “Winds of change”, which is full of subjective information contradicting the international law.A protest statement on behalf of Azerbaijani youth and “IRELI” Public Union was sent to the channel immediately after the broadcast of the film.
As the continuation of the protest on December 11th, 2009, on local time at 11:00 (at 14:00 on Baku time) in Lyon, in front of the headquarters of Euronews TV Channel on the occasion of broadcasted “Winds of Change” film the Protest Action was held. 50 Azerbaijani young people from 7 various European cities were attending the Action. In the video report about the occupied Azerbaijani territories Euronews TV Channel showed the separatist regime of Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state and the head of the separatist Bako Saakyan was shown as the president of self-proclaimed republic. The coordinator of “IRELI” Public Union in France Aydin Mammadov said that the Armenians who live in France couldn’t prevent the Protest: “There were police and they were responsible for the stability of the situation”. In the protest the following slogans in English and French were stressed: “The TV Channel to stop broadcasting biased video reports about Nagorno-Karabakh; the placards were raised to tell the truth about the occupied territories of Azerbaijan” and etc. The coordinator of “IRELI” Public Union Aydin Mammadov provided with the information that the resolution was adopted and the chief editor met with the young people attending the Protest Action. The declaration was presented to the chief editor. “He said he understands our demands and cited that in January 17th, 2010 they will come to Azerbaijan and prepare a film about the IDPs’.” It should be mentioned, that Euronews TV Channel showed the separatist regime of Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state and the head of the separatist Bako Saakyan was shown as the president of self-proclaimed republic.
