The “Ireli” Public Union founded on the basis of the "IRELI" Countrywide Youth Movement which was founded on 26.08.2005. During the 3 years period of functioning "IRELI" Countrywide Youth Movement been able to involve more than 6 000 active young people to it's activities and become to one of the most active organizations of the country. According to the decision made by the founders of the "IRELI" Countrywide Youth Movement the organization been dissolved on 09.12.2008. The idea of creation of the “Ireli” Public Union been initiated after the dissolvement of the Movement.
Steps towards organization of the “IRELI” Public Union
The “IRELI” Public Union held its founding conference on 24 December 2008. The conference, which was attended by 380 representatives, elected Jeyhun Osmanli chairman and Afaq Zeynalova, Orkhan Aliyev, Mahir Mammadov, Nazakat Aliyeva and Azar Maharramov members of the Audit Commission.
After the conference the process of organizing the “Ireli” Public Union and formalizing its structure began. An organizing committee to set up district and town organizations was established on 26 December by decision of “IRELI" Chairman Jeyhun Osmanli. Rasif Dunyamaliyev was appointed chairman of the Organizing Committee and Hikmat Huseynov secretary. On 16 April 2009 the first Council meeting was held, which confirmed the members of the Organizing Committee, the statute of the secretariat and the Secretary General.
